Dr. Debbie Grandgenett

Dr. Debbie was raised in Iowa City, where she attended West High School.  She attended Washington University in St. Louis as an undergraduate with a biochemistry major.  She returned to Iowa City for dental school at the University of Iowa, where she then was asked to do her residency in Pediatric Dentistry.  The two years of specialty training in pediatric dentistry focused on growth and development physically and emotionally of infants, children and individuals with special health care needs.  Dr. Debbie is board certified and is a Diplomate of the American Board of Pediatric Dentistry.  She is an active member of the Iowa Society of Pediatric Dentistry, the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry and the American Dental Association.  Dr. Debbie has completed training and certification by the Iowa Board of Dental Examiners in conscious sedation of children.  Dr. Debbie believes that all children deserve comprehensive dental care in an environment that allows young dental patients to become healthy and happy adult dental patients.  Dr. Debbie has 4 children.  Dr. Debbie's husband, Craig, is a general dentist and their marriage survives working together in the same office.  Dr. Debbie enjoys gardening and cooking for her 5 boys.

Treatment of children with general anesthesia, oral conscious sedation, special healthcare needs, cleft/lip and palate, and early intervention orthodontics. 

Residency experiences through general pediatrics, children's oncology, burn unit, neonatology, center for disabilities and hemophilia clinics at the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics.
